So Why Have A lesson With The
WSF?
We have been teaching surfing at Llangennith
since 1981.
We are the only surf school based in Llangennith.
Lessons are at a normal maximum ratio of 1 instructor to 8 people.
All instructotrs are British Surfing Association coaches, beach lifeguards and CRB
checked.
We have female and male instructors.
We can provide surf lessons in Welsh.
All groups have instructors with two-way radio, mobile phone contact and first aid
facilities.
We are the only non-profit surf school in Wales - all profit is used for the running of
Welsh surfing.
As we are non-profit making we are much cheaper than other surf schools.
We offer the highest quality surf lesson.
We use Swell surfboards that are designed for beginners (some surf schools cut cost by
using cheaper, less buoyant surfboards that are much more difficult to learn to surf on)
We have summer and winter wetsuits plus boots so you will be warm whatever the weather or
time of year.
We offer full two hour instruction
(we don't count getting changed into a wetsuit or a drive to the beach as part of lesson
time).
We have a trolley to help you get your boards to the beach.
We are proud of our reputation for running lessons only if
there is surf big enough to ride waves.
We always rearrange lessons if the surf is too small.
We offer two lessons per day and as many lessons as you need.
Lessons can be as formal or as relaxed as you want (within our safety rules).
We specialise in teaching absolute beginners and people who have tried surfing but need
some help.
We get results - people who hire, just have a go themselves and then come to us tell us
so.
We teach at one of the most beautiful beaches in Wales.
Llangennith is the safest beach, and the only one that has reliable surf, on Gower.
Don't just take our word for it.
Here's what Claire thought of her lesson:

"The best surfer in
the world is the one having fun."
